ABOUT ME

My name is Tayler Varney, and I am a theatre craftsperson currently located in Wisconsin.  Recently I have worked as an overhire artist at several Milwaukee theaters, including; The Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, the Skylight Music Theatre, and First Stage Children's Theatre.  I have also worked at American Players Theatre, located in Spring Green, WI as a soft goods props artisan.  During my time earning my bachelor's degree and the internships I have taken, I have discovered the diverse design and technical aspects of theatre and developed a passion for them.  I do really enjoy creating, and in the fields of crafts, paint, and props, I have found an outlet to do so.  

 

I am happiest when I am working with my hands and in my free time I like to craft such as sewing,, sculpting, painting, and other eclectic projects. I am always looking forward to further developing my skills as I gain experience.

I am seeking opportunities to gain professional experience in the fields of theatre crafts, props, painting, hair and makeup; as well as becoming an asset to shop and company.  I enjoy my work as well as take pride in it, and I am a proficient multi-tasker.
