Guard Cards

The first show of the PCPA 2016 season was Shrek; The Musical.  Lots of the projects that I worked on were small and picked up part-way through the process.  I did, however, get to work on the Guard Card costumes from start to finish.  I began with cutting and stitching pattern pieces provided for me, and covering the fromts with printed canvas logos, which were trimmed with yellow ribbon.  Finally, I stitched the sides together with four straps.

Old Man Beards

For Shrek; The Musical, the costume designer wanted to have some old man characters to inhabit the dragon's lair.  For these characters, he wanted long yarn beards made with latch-hook canvas.  It was a simple project, but lots of fun
